This is an extension of the same game concepts designs along with the Game HUD & Interface Concept Design, and would act as the players “Game Map”. It was designed to be “explored” with the map drawing itself in as various areas open up to the players. This was a rough concept, done completely in Illustrator to be re-build through a very complex material in Unreal Engine 4. The project was put on hold before the concept could be proven, but I still love how simple the map turned out, but was loaded with little points of interest that players could “unlock” through story advancement.

If you can’t tell, I LOVE ILLUSTRATOR. Doing work like this was a natural progression of the overall design of the game we were prototyping, and gave us the chance to really explore what could be done with something as simple as “low poly” designs, converted into 2d maps.
