Who doesn’t love a good cake smash? Well, apparently my subject wasn’t super into it.  Most kids really get aggressive when they see the cake, but not Baby Ashton. Not only was my subject not really into the event, but he also refused to give me any smiles.  I love shooting these types of events, and always pay attention to the details (like tiny toes & fingers).  I did my best to capture the moment, and get mom and dad some print worthy portraits as well. Some of these shots are super subjective, but honestly it’s my favorite way to shoot. I feel like sometimes the various inanimate objects in the scene become characters to the shoot themselves, and really help add to the story and feel of the moment.
